Do you have a special way to carve a pumpkin?

My first one of the year is always the traditional Jack-O-Lantern and I always watch the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown for the first time while I'm carving it. It's how I usher in the Halloween season each year.

OctoberChill, you and I must have been carved from the same blanket. (Linuses blanket) Because I do exactly the same thing. I usher in the Halloween Season by carving a traditional Jack O'Lantern with triangle eyes and nose, and then I put a candle in it, and watch "Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" while it' slight flickers in the darkened room.

My husband and I both take Halloween off from work and carve pumpkins. He's even taking the 30th off this year. We'll spend a majority of the 2 days carving pumpkins. The most we ever did at one time was 13. (I'm still trying to figure out how that one lady that posted her website on here does 90 pumpkins by herself every year..)

All of the JOL talk is making me sentimental.

I think I might but a small pumpkin on the way home for this weekend *sigh*

Andy, your almost to a thousand! :D
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...
