Re: When do you start decorating ?
WOW! You guys are so early, I try not to open that box full of halloween stuff until october otherwise, I use up all my fog juice, break the gravestones, and I had a spinning police light and by the time it was halloween I turned it on and it spinned twice and burned out...

Re: When do you start decorating ?
I just could not wait! I just had to put some gravestones up! So I put up a couple more stones. I think they have less of a chance of breaking because they are staked to the ground but they are against the porch steps so if the wind blows on them the porch steps will give them extra protection so the stakes will not tear through them. But if they show any signs that they are breaking I am taking them inside right away. But on October 24, a week before Halloween, I will put them somewhere else near the house so only the stakes will be holding them up. Nothing behind them to protect them. Do you get what I'm saying? Am I making any sense?

Re: When do you start decorating ?
My inside has been decorated since august and Ive been adding to it but I have a nasty cold so the outside is only half done. I'm quite disappointed I should of had it done already.
Do you wanna know why i use a knife? Guns are too quick.

Re: When do you start decorating ?
I can only really decorate my room because my mum isn't the biggest fan of Halloween. I buy as much as I can though and just put items around the house and hope that she accepts the fact that I love Halloween!
My favourite place to decorate has to be the banister on the stairs where I place a creepy mask to spook visitors. It usually works too which is a nice treat for me

Re: When do you start decorating ?
I JUST COULD NOT WAIT ANYMORE!!!!
I moved the gravestones I already had outside to the area I was planning to put them on October 24. And I added one more stone. I just had to put out the graveyard NOW!! I did not want to wait any longer. I am holding them up with stakes, and I put bricks on the front and back of them for extra protection. I have 3 more stones I will put outside later.
I will stop talking about it now cause I bet I'm boring everyone.

Re: When do you start decorating ?
I've got about half of my stuff out now, I wont get it all out yet cause then it will be hard to walk
I've started webbing the ceiling just one corner and I got some 'halloween fences' the other day they're only small but really good for 99p each
I'm gonna get loads more and put them all round the garden so it's like a proper graveyard with the tombstones in the middle

I have to get batteries for my camera. But I have not gotten around to it yet. I will take pictures on Halloween and post them on November 1.Ghoul of the Graves wrote:Pictures?

Re: When do you start decorating ?
Unfortunately people in the UK hardly decorate their house, let alone do it so much in advance...
We are having a party, but not until the 1st November, and I'm decorating the house and front garden next Thursday..lol... so only 2 or 3 days b4 the party ...then it will all be down the day after the party.
BUTTTT.... people are getting into Halloween more now, what with all the good stuff in the shops(Halloween decorating things etc)...quite a few are beginning to have parties now a days, and not just for the kids...apparently adults are claiming it from the kids over here
So I reckon by about 2020 we might be on a par with the USA! lol

We don't put anything up outside until the day of Halloween. Don't want anything to get stolen.

Re: When do you start decorating ?
The last two weeks of Stptember, I start cleaning the house and preparing, and starting on Sept 30th, I put up my pumpkin and skull lights, and I put out my two plastic jack o'lanterns on top of the stereo speakers. On the 1st of October I carve a pumpkin, and every day for about the first week of Oct, I put one thing up per day.
Everything stays up through the 2nd of November, and everything comes down and is put away for the year on the 3rd of November.

At this current point in time, I am planning roughly for an early September window.

Re: When do you start decorating ?
That's how I usualy do it, but it's also important to me that I get the house somewhat cleaned before I put up the decorations. I do my major holiday cleaning in November before Thanksgiving, but I like to make sure everything's dusted and presentable when I put up the Halloween lights and carve my first jack o'lantern of October.

This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...
