3 months til halloween. better start planning

the pre holidays have arrived. i can't believe its august already. next month is knott scary farm which opens on the 25th. im gonna start my reserverations for the restaurant and buy my tickets.

My motorcycle and I still have a lot of roads to travel, but I am also excited that it's getting closer to Halloween, and I know that in about 2 weeks or so, I'll start seeing Halloween merchandise in my local drug store. It starts with just simple items. Orange & black plates, plastic wear, Happy Halloween napkins and the like, and then grows into more and more stuff all through September, then about mid October they start making way for the Christmas decorations. (narf narf) But August is sort of a transition month and the last month before most of us start going into the Holiday mode. I will be doing my Halloween house cleaning in mid September, and the decorations will be up probably on the 28th or 29th of Sept, and will stay up until November 3rd.

I need to have all my decorations up and done by the first of october, I'm going on a little vacation to maryland/pennsylvania the first week in oct. I would love to come home to a spooky home.

I actualy did that one year. I went on a vacation to Florida in October, but came home before Halloween. I had the decorations up on the 30th of September, and was home for the first week of October, then the middle two weeks I was in Disney, then came home to a spooky house.

It was sort of neat. The onhly thing that I didn't like about it is that particular October, the 13th fell on a Friday, and that sort of adds a spooky dimension to October. It's like haveing two Halloweens in one month.

The next October Friday the 13th isn't until 2017.
