Re: If we (Halloween.com) could create our OWN perfect town...
sounds great to me but i say we have the theatre set up like the classics.. showing only 2 to 3 movies... the big bulb promotions and everything.. maybe even a phantom legend
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I pared, and thrice above my crown

I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame

Personaly I would like to see a wider veriety, but I do love those old classics. So the emphasys would be on those films.

Drive in movies are almost non existant any more, but there are plenty of regular movie theatres still in operation. I will say that it's not like the days when we my parents would pack up my younger sister and I off to the Marquette Theatre for a family outing at that fancy movie house where all the films where shown on a silver screan, and you saw comming attractions and then a short cartoon before the feature presentation. That was truely a classic movie going experience that you don't get any more. I still enjoy going out to movies, but you are right. It's not the same.
There for, I propose that our town movie theatre returns to the old tradition of showing a cartoon before the main feature, and a silver screan is to be used.

There is a drive in here! It's been a while since I've been to it and I would rather go there though than to a regular theater.

I thought we would call our theatre the "Cinehaunt."
There actualy was a drive in movie theatre in my area when I was a kid in New Lenox. It was called the Hilltop Theatre. I took my gf to see "Clash of the Titans." They had THE BEST Chicago style hot dogs I ever ate in my life.
They went out of business shortly after I graduated from college.

Duh! Horror High... what else? Classes would be 'Howling without disturbing the neighbors' for the werewolves. 'How not to faint at the sight of blood' for the vampires. 'How to wrap' for the mummies.adrian wrote:Here's an idea... what about the school.. what would it be called and what are some of our unique subjects we'd teach... i'd like to say definatley some classes on witch trials and such... what are your ideas?

Literature and horror tales would definately be a part of the curriculum. Perhaps a class on how to grow pumpkins might also be prudent.

Of course, ALL SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED in observance of HALLOWEEN VACATION, which should be October 30th, 31st, November 1st and 2nd.

The only means of public transportation will be hayrides, manned by corpse-like old men in tattered overalls. Cars officially deemed 'posessed' will also be allowed.
