Why not set up some flying ghosts? If you have a slide projector, you could get a ghost slide and set up some kind of transparent film in the graveyard and project it on that, too.

also you should try working with lighting/ shadows. create shadows that no one wants to go near
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Yes, Zombies are great, I bought about 6 of those scarecrows that every store sells and put them around the yard in various places, then bought 6 "Jason" Hockey masks and put them on them, they look good in the dark.....MacPhantom wrote:Zombies. Hands down. Nothing makes a graveyard scarier than zombies wandering through it. If you can get a few mates together, do 'em up as zombies and have 'em wander and moan. Mind they go easy on the little kiddies, but anyone 12ish or older is fair game for being chased by the shambling dead.
Cheers,
Ian

I typically do a graveyard scene in the front yard. I like to mix it up though. Here is a pic from my setup last year. The fence, the hanging spiders, and the skeleton on the tree were all new last year...
