a few people on this forum attend other forums, same avatar, same posts (sometimes the EXACT same post), etc but, they have different screen names, I'm curious why....why not use the same screen name on the forums you go to?
I always use the same screen name.......just curious why some of you use different screen names.

My tastes change. I was first simply "117" here, then "Arthas" and now "John-117". For some forums I change my name based on the topic there.

Also, my paranoid self doesn't want anyone doing a simple google search for a username and finding out everything I've been apart of.

Can't always get the same nym. Sometimes it's taken. I've been using NeverMore for 10 years on usenet and was totally taken by surprise to find it available here. It wasn't available on other forums so I just didn't join those.

My name on AvPGalaxy.net is Purebreedalien because it's based on Alien and Predator films, and a pure bred Alien was a caste of Alien in one of my favourite AVP games, here I wanted a Halloween-y name so I chose (after 40+ minutes of no ideas ) Ghoul of the Graves.
