a friend of ours just named their new kitten Wenny after the witch in this movie
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I need to get Hocus Pocus on DVD. I used to have a videotape of it, but I believe my kids wore it out.

Mike, my family has Nosferatu on DVD, and we watched it the other day. I bet the TOT-ers get creeped out when they see it projected onto that sheet at your house!

My daughter has a couple of animated movies about "Scary Godmother." They are very cute for younger kids, well made and enjoyable.

Love it! Truly great story. Everything that Halloween should be. It starts calling from the DVD rack around August and by Halloween me and mine will have seen it 15 times. Why can't we see a sequel for this one?

I got lucky. We found two copies at a local pawn shop for $3 each. I bought them both. As you mentioned this movie gets enough tv time to have a spare.

LOVE Hocus Pocus...what a great combination of story, legend, folklore and Halloween...I thought it was great and although designed for kids I believe the 'kid' in all of us loves this movie for the right reasons. Loved the feeling and design of this movie...I wish they made more like it.

They say that life's a carousel
Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of kings and queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
Its heaven and hell, oh well
