The sign looks good, Spooky.
It kind of reminds me of the Camp Crystal Lake sign.
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep, and I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep. Did you hear me butterfly? Miles to go before you sleep."

here it is with the white-wash on it

Originally I was going to to go with wood but, I saw a how-to on making it out of foam and this was easier and faster. I would never have been able to carve that lettering with a router.

Wood was what I was going for and the first sign just didnt look right.

Belladonna, funny you mention camp crystal lake sign, thats the look I was going for basically.

Where did you get that cool lantern?
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Looks great! If you do anymore wood fabricating you might try adding dull greens for a moldy look. Keep your eyes out at FAMILY DOLLAR for those lanterns. I got mine for $2.99 Unfortunately they usually sell them in the spring for the bar-b-que crowd.
Oh, your so cool, Brewster!
Hey, Butchy. They still got Oreo's next door?
Dracula's in the house!!! In the house?!
Welcome to the party, Honey!

Ooops! Sorry. I thought it was a real oil lamp. That's what they were selling at FAMILY DOLLAR. When they have them they come in red, green, and unfinished steel.

The Halloween shops are so expensive. Most of the props I have that I didn't make came from after Halloween sales. Getting to buy great stuff so cheap makes up for the holiday being over.

Did you check Ebay? Check it once a week or so... Sometimes you'll find someone selling bits of their Halloween display, and you can find some good prices.

And if you have any neighbors move abruptly holiday decorations are one of the first things to the curb. I will admit to a skeleton/gravestone set that used to live across the street.
