I still have my 3 JoLs hanging out on my front porch and walkway. My neighbor also has two sitting out by their front door. When they begin to wilt, they will be tossed. Think they will survive until Turkey Day? LOL I can't believe they have not yet been overcome by mold or generalized rotting. Go pumpkins!

I just decided something. Fall is for pumpkins. And Thanksgiving has pumpkins. I am going to put my glowing jack-o-lantern in one of my windows for a while. I see no reason why not.

The apartments across the way unplugged their pumpkin and took it away a couple of days ago, and that made me put my pumpkin away;

But after thinking about it, HEY! that pumpkin is going right back in the window. Pumpkins need to be seen! Jack-o-lanterns need love! Fall is for pumpkins. All hail the pumpkin!

Hey Tom, how about turning the JOL around so the outside is just a pumpkin and you can enjoy the Halloween smile inside??

That suggestion sounds vaguely philosophical in nature! Instead of sharing so much Halloween goodness with the world, why don't I focus on enjoying it myself? Or that's the way it reads...

LOL I still have up my orange lights. I live in the country and no one sees them but me and any visitors. My husband thinks I am crazy but I can justify it by saying they are for Thanksgiving.

Sorry, I cleaned up my haunt yard after the day of Halloween to prevent th haunt thieves! :evil:

Also, I threw away the pumpkins in the garbage because they turned rotten and smelt badly due to the weather outside. :cry:

William,

Which do you use real or take pumpkin that is remaining on your bedroom window?? :roll:

If that's a fake one... WHEW!! Hey, if that's a REAL one... it would cause bad smelly and spread the rotten scent around your bedroom, even some nags and maggots will eat it up! :lol:

On Saturday, I went to a little housewarming party at that place I mentioned in another thread, the house where the trick-or-treaters came and took all our candy and a bunch of the horror props too. I brought over a little Santa Claus doll that sang "Jingle Bells" when you pressed a button on it; and I also brought one of my light-up jack-o-lanterns. So for the duration of the party, there was at least one Halloween decoration displayed prominently. It was quite a nice party, by the way, all very friendly people.

I am STILL seeing a house decoration or two here and there, by the way! Not everyone has taken everything Halloween down!
