They are pretty sensitive to light (vampire coffin, go figure). one of them started laughing in the shopping bag as I drove home and would not shut off, even though the latch was secured on the lid.

The one that won't shut off is the one you hide in somebody's house that you really hate...

I'll bet that a person could re-record that chip...

I saw a specialty magazine of Halloween crafts and recipes at Kroger yesterday, first one of the season (Pillsbury,I believe).

I went to Garden Ridge yesterday and they have a lot of Halloween stuff out, about 3 isles and a bunch of blow-ups (no iHaunt, not THAT kind of blow up) :)

Dollar Tree has some dollar junk out, which was surprisingly crowded today.

Hobby Lobby was putting out Halloween yesterday. I was looking in the baskets as the worker was setting up. I couldn't wait. I am so excited!!!

I haven't been around many stores much, so I dunno if any Halloween items are around yet, but I think I'm going to a Tesco store later on in the week to get some new shoes, and they usually have half an aisle dedicated to Halloween bits and bobs. I'll be sure to have a look, but since it is only August I highly doubt anything will be out over here just yet.

Last year the Tesco had a highly detailed, slightly animated, two-foot tall skeleton which had glowing red eyes and made a creepy laugh on intervals. It was £20 though, and I couldn't bring myself to purchase something at that price which I'd only have on display for a couple of months at the most.

Haha, yeah. Down on the South East coast we don't have many stores that sell Halloween items so Tesco is the best bet for now.

Well, we don't have Tesco at all in the states, but I've spent lots of time in the Tesco in Inverness. I'll never get over how lucky you are in the U.K. to be able to buy beer, wine, and whisky right at the grocery store!!!

Somebody at church the other day was telling me you can do all that in the Midwest, like Iowa, or someplace like that. I've never seen it at all. Here you can only get beer in the stores. I've seen a few places where you can buy wine, but never whiskey.

you can do that in California, they sell that stuff in the grocery stores. My first encounter with a "organized" liquer store was in Utah where you have to go to a state liquer store to buy anything harder then weak beer. Ut allows you to buy beer in the store but the alcohol content is a lot less then "real" beer. oh and they're closed on Sundays by law.
Here in Texas where I live you have to go to a retail liquer store (not state ran) to get anything harder then beer or wine.

You can do that here in Wisconsin. Any grocery store sells beer, wine, spirits. it's fairly common around here.
Super Walmart, Super Target as well...they have a Beer, Wine and liquor aisle.
They say that life's a carousel
Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of kings and queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
Its heaven and hell, oh well
