My spider skirt just came today!!!

It is so pretty. I was worried that it would be too much fluff. Nope.

Now I have to figure out what to put with it. I have a great black mask to wear. Just got to figure out the middle!!!

I am going to dress up my dog as a spider to ToT with us.

Found some deer hunters caps at Sam's. But they have flaps that cover the ears. I don't believe Ed had that kind.

I wanna see pics of your spider-dog, Shanda!! :o

RDM; do you have a TSC (Tractor Supply Company) near you? They usually have a big selection of deer hunter and general red-necky hats, which haven't changed much in style since the fifties.

You could probably cut them off, I guess.

I thought it would be to obvious I cut them off and would ruin the look. And then the rest of the hat might start ripping apart.

Could you do a whip-stitch along the edge where you cut the flaps off, to hold it together?

My daughter and I are going to shop for costume elements today, I think. She wants to be Endora from Bewitched. That is a very specific look, but I don't think they are selling that costume, so we will have to contrive it.

As for me, I'll probably just cobble together something generically spooky from the various Halloween costumes we have around the house. I'll be an old crone, or a ghostly lady in white, something like that.

This year i got a new mask that i shall build a costume around. This mask seems to be more horrific than any other i have had. However the eye holes cut in it poke me in the eyes anytime i put it on :( which is why i may wear glasses with it if that doesn't look stupid.

As for decorating this year im going to stray from my usual graveyard layout and buy a bunch of cornstalks to tie all around my fence and turn my yard into a haunted corn field. If I can put the image in my head into the actual decorating it should look great. Ill have a picture of it if and when I get it finished.
