Thank goodness, I was starting to think that it got lost in transit.
As Sinatra sang, you can't have one without the other.

Happy September! Just got another month to get through before our favorite month arrives!
I found some new loot today...I'm totally NOT obsessed with cats or anything...
Also couldn't resist the Halloween Oreos or the Reeses Skeletons. I don't know why but the Halloween Oreos taste so much better to me than regular Oreos. And had to try the Reeses Skeletons. XD
And I go nuts when I see black cat decorations (or any Halloween cat really XD)

Oh, you got a nice little haul, there!
I was in Walmart this afternoon and browsed their Halloween section. So much fun. I especially liked an inflatable Hello Kitty in costume. I don't buy inflatables, though. I suspect they are somewhat fragile.
I need to pull out my stash of Halloween decor. It's almost time!

Thank you! Some of that stuff came from Walmart and some came from Dollar General, but the little earrings were homemade and came from the local Farmer's market. I got those and a pair that look like melted records, but I only shared the stuff that was relevant to Halloween.
The Hello Kitty inflatable sounds cute. I have a few Hello Kitty things.
I guess it really depends on where you live. Since wind storms and tornados were mentioned in another thread, inflatables might not be the best thing to have anyway. We have strong winds here, so anything I put outside has to be reinforced really good, and stakes are a must for inflatables.
It's possible to repair them if the motor breaks, and I got one that needs it...but I might just get rid of it and get some new ones. It's about personal preference though. Some can last for several years, and some might only last a few. Depends on what you get. It also depends on the weather.
Indeed it is! I'm trying to fight the urge to get a few things out early. But I couldn't resist those cute decorations...and I know somethings if I wait on they'll be gone later.

Yes, if you see something seasonal you really want, it's best to buy it right then. Things do get picked over.
OTOH, I've bought lots of things the day after Halloween, Christmas, etc. If you're willing to take your chances, you can get great merch cheap.

Oh totally! I love seeing what's leftover after Halloween and sometimes I find good bargains that way.
But if it's something I just HAVE to have...it's best to grab it up.
And the disadvantage of seeing Halloween stuff out earlier is that it lessens the chance of it being there after the holiday.
It's good for the stores though, as they likely make more profits that way in the long run. Not so good for us consumers.
But I'm happy with the haul I got here.
I also hope I have time for more Halloween crafts this year. I've been so busy and exhausted lately, but I'm trying to at least pour some effort into my digital art.

Lol. I'm pretty much in the same boat, though I'll sometimes spring for something new if I really love it.

I soooo want one of those Home Depot 12 foot skellies but seriously, no where to put him off-season. And I don't do that year-round Halloween thing because I feel it cheapens the season.

You're right about year-round Halloween, or year-round Christmas, for that matter. When you leave stuff up all the time, you get so you don't see it anymore.

As much as I get sad to pack away my holiday decorations for the year, I admit that there's a certain charm to unpacking them and getting them out from year to year. It feels like magic. It's partly what makes holidays such a special time of year.
It sucks when you don't have a lot of storage space. I need to get more storage bins or something to store mine. I wish I could find more orange and black ones for Halloween and some green and red ones for Christmas, but I guess regular clear plastic or any color will due. Plus I can see what's inside if I do the clear. But I'll stick with any color that does the trick for now. Cardboard boxes don't do the trick sadly because mice can get in them. Although they did the trick when I lived with my dad and grandma years ago. I had a creative message on them too, "If this box shakes, do not quake in fear, for it simply means Halloween is near!"

I found the little scarecrow at a thrift shop for ninety nine cents.
What drew me to it was the very cool, old fashioned, Jack-o'-lantern head.

This isn't new from this year but I put an LED rotating flame light into a classic TOT pumpkin and the effect is awesome.

Oh, that lantern is awesome! The little scarecrow is cute, too.
