I put my lights up outside on Tuesday. I put up the rest of my decorations today. I just got done putting my Halloween tree and decorating it.

Nevermore beat me to it.

I finally got some lights up outside orange ones along my roof. I will get the purple bush lights in tomorrow.

Hubby got the rest of the cemetery fence cut, now I have to paint it all black and order some more finials.

Put a couple Halloween silhouettes in the window. Bought a cool ghost with an animated face. Working on gravestones. A raccoon or something ate some of the flesh of a pumpkin I had outside. So I gutted it and a friend carved the face before anything else could happen to it.

As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

That was nice of the raccoon to help you start your pumpkin he must be a Halloween fan too!

Ya. He got a nice scary screaming face to go with the bite too. Also I think it was a skunk. I have seen them around at night a lot.

As luck would have it, I wasn't able to get my decorations up, because I didn't get around to the house cleaning until yesterday, but they will all be going up tonight right after I run the vaccum cleaner.

Well, I'm into the count-down for my weekend trip to CA, but once I am home, I will start in earnest on the decorating.

Hey Murf, you going to CAlifornia, or CAnada? If you're going to Cali, specifically SoCal, I may be able to put together a quick list of Halloweeny things going on around here.

Southern Cali. I am visiting relatives (my aunt recently turned 90), and I'm going with my son (23), who has never been out there before. I think we are going to be doing some predictable things, like visiting the ocean, seeing the mountains, and visiting cousins' homes. But if you know of some seasonal fun stuff in the LA area, let me know!

What days are you going to be there? I'll see what I can scrape up. Also, what part of town. You don't have to be specific but if I see something that's near where you'll be I'll let you know.

Obviously there's the big three, Disneyland, Knott's, and Universal Studious, but you'd have to scape together some serious coin to do any one of those. You could check out The Halloween Club, it's a Halloween superstore that's open year round. I'll find the address and if you guys are in the area you can stop in and take a look. They just moved so if you look it up you may get it wrong.

Hopefully Morticia notices this post. She lives up there and may be able to give you specific info.

Looks like About.com did most of the work for me....

Here are the locations of the Halloween Clubs. The year round stores would be the superstores.

I mentioned on the other thread about a couple theaters showing some classic horror films, in case you're going to be there on those dates. The Egyptian is a historic theater in the heart of Hollywood. The Aero is in Santa Monica which is a great place to go to the beach.

I'll keep my eyes out for anything else.

So I wanted to put my purple lights in my bushes tonight when I got home but it's supposed to rain. It should stop before I get home but even though they are outdoor lights something about putting electricity in wet bushes doesn't sound safe to me.
