Ooh Nyx I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having with your costumes this year - I hate it when people keep changing the theme because I, like many of us here, like to be well prepared and decide on my costume early on!

If you're doing a NBC party, how about being Shock from the trio Lock, Shock and Barrel?

I think that this is a great costume idea, since Sally's already taken ;)[/img]

well, I make walking sticks for a hobby so if I dont end up being a scarecrow or dead Quarry worker for halloween I might be the ghost of a hiker or trail guide.

I was having a hard time deciding this year as I really like to come up with something unique every Halloween and finally narrowed it down to two possibilities:
1. The woman that gets killed at the begining of Sin City. It is a black and white scene except for the woman's red dress and bright red lipstick. So I am getting a short grey wig, grey face make-up and a tight fitting grey turtleneck or long sleeve shirt and gloves which I will wear a bright red dress over [ and the red liptsick :) ] ; and grey nylons and grey shoes. If I can pull it off I think it will look really cool.
2. I have an alternate/similar idea to be a silver screen movie star, same kind of idea except all black/white/grey clothes/make-up etc.... and old fashion 40's style clothes.

Happy Halloween to all !! :)

Sanhaim, I think those are GREAT ideas!!!!!
Once, I actually wanted to make up an entire room like it was from a 1940's Philip Marlowe movie. EVERYTHING would be made up using ONLY black, white and various shades of grey. I pictured everything down to the very detail. Complete with period accessories.

So, I like your ideas and they'll probably be a lot less expensive.

My law college will be having a Halloween ball on Oct. 26, at a local country club. I looked around on the Internet for a good costume, and saw a Mother Superior nun's habit. 8) I imagined accessorizing it with a large rosary necklace, and a big ruler to rap people's knuckles with. And I imagined how funny I would look in my nun's habit, hoisting a beer.

Then I imagined ten years from now, someone getting and e-mailing around a picture of me in my nun's outfit at the law firm where I'll be working. :(

I bought a pirate's outfit instead.

Hehehe..... Cad, that's probably a wise move. You never know what'll come back to haunt you later on.
