Hi OEJ

I have tried believe you me! But to no avail :(

I totally agree with you about them being our friends and when they are in my garden and eating the creatures that devour my plants during the summer I am very grateful to them but when they lurk in corners of my house like the two I found at the weekend I just go to pieces! I shiver shake sweat and feel more than a little woozy!!

I to try not to kill them if I can though...the other half always scoops them up in a glass and puts them outside :?

Hi! Some of you will have seen my other post on Halloween in the UK. Pictures you say? OK!

Last Years additions, I have about 15 of these, varying sizes and designs. Made from a couple of polystyrene boxes being thrown out from work, spray painted black and letters chiseled out!
Image

New addition this year - floating ghost, looks great - floats up and down and wails when activated (Motion and sound)
Image

New from ASDA (Walmart) - these are great and only cost about £2.50 ($5) - plan on getting a few more and hanging them somewhere me thinks.
Image

Two old dummies made from old costumes/clothes. The big ones face is made from an old "Bleeding" mask - Looks cool in the front garden around all the toumbstones.
Image

New Build this year - a half body, rising from the ground. Will put on some fake blood, stake into front garden and put some earth around the base.
Image

This Years Piece de resistance....... This beaut is going on my roof. It stands at 8ft tall (The coke bottle is to give you an idea of the size) I am THRILLED with this! got it off ebay.

"Gore"-geous stuff CS! I got one of those ghosts too, but it has a skullhead. Never seen one with that kind of head before. Cool!

You're dummies are great! I just figured out that old costumes make great dummies too. (Mental note: Look for sales on costumes as we get closer to Halloween.)

I like the witch. I have the giant spider. But it's not going to go out in the lawn until just before the party.

That's great stuff, Callum! And that witch is quite the eBay find! That sure looks like Scooby Doo's tail!

Thank you! :)

Yep my dad put him together over the last week or so with a Bag of Bones from Asda (£8 ....$16 I think) and some old cardboard, few plastic spiders and the web that you can buy anywhere this time of year.

I was soooo chuffed when i saw him this evening for the first time. This is the first time my Dad has helped me make anything for Halloween and I think he really enjoyed it. He keeps coming up with new ideas now

he's just brilliant! You guys should seriously consider grabbing up every bag o' bones you can find after the holiday (clearance) and sell those on eBay next year.

Thank you!! :D

My Dad is going to be so made up when I tell him that you all like him...he kept saying...." well he isn't very good" Yeah Right Dad!!

I thought he was fab and I can't wait to see him with his glowing eyes. As soon as he is finished I'll photograph him again and then when he is in situ for the party.

What is funny ....OEJ you will appreciate this.....inside the coffin not only are there plastic spiders (oh boy here I go again!!!) but Dad found some old dead spiders in his workshop, you know the sort that have mummyfied and lost their colour....well the picture doesn't do them justice but they are in the coffin too!

:? :? :?
