I have an album full of Halloween & horror movies. I often start with Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, because it is a gentle way to ease into the spooky season. It is not, strictly speaking, either a Halloween or a horror movie, but it has an eerie suggestiveness in certain scenes.
Once the season gets into high gear, my favorites include scary movies like The Exorcist, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Halloween, The Conjuring, The Rite, The Haunting (1960). Also comedies like Ghostbusters, Haunted Mansion, Hocus Pocus, Young Frankenstein, Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie.
