Evil Dead 4 or Remake?

Well, there were some rumors of a fourth entry in this film series for a while, going back to when Raimi was finishing up the third Spider-Man flick.

The latest comes from Bruce Campbell, who talked a bit about a new Evi Dead film.

So, what do you think? Do you want to see a fourth installment? Are Raimi and Campbell required in your mind to bring the franchise back? Or, do you think Hollywood will just end up remaking or re-imagining. the property in a completely different direction? Please leave your comments here.

Well, I'm bring this thread back again... There are several rumors flying out there about this one. It has been rumored for a while ago that the movie that launched both Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell into stardom would be redone...

As of now hear is what I know (gossip I read).

Sam Raimi will not direct - But his company Ghost House Pictures will produce - Variety. They're not really sure if Ted Raimi will be the writer and co-producer this film. Bruce Campbell is no way of returning to this movie - I attend a screening of Bubba Hotemp and he was asked about the role of Ash is reported to be down to the following:


Sean William Scott (American Pie series)

Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv series)

Justin Theroux (Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle)

Me personally, I'd pick Sean William Scott as Ash in this film. So, what do you think guys? And, gals too?

I would personally love to see this film's sequel. Remake- not so much. This is a film that is just a classic, and should not be touched by Hollywood. The sequel could be interesting if they go in a whole new direction with it. I would also think Sean William Scott would be the best Ash.
