Hello my friends, Ill be around through the weekend but i cant say untill when. Louisiana has been put under a state of emergency for hurricane Gustav. Im about an hour outside New Orleans and they say if it hits we will get it just as hard. SO just a friendly note to let you all know i might be MIA for a few days. We are hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Thank you all !

**UPDATE**

Well friends it is official...ill be signing off tonight and im not sure when ill be back. They have officially concluded Gustov is on his way and will be a category 4 or 5. They are currently thinking about a mandatory evacuation for our parish as early as 8am. Ill be thinking of all of you and thank you for your good hopes and prayers. I will be back as soon as i can to fill yall in.

My brother & his family lived in Gulfport Miss, until 3 years ago.

They got out with the clothes on their backs, their wallats and the cat. They couldn't reach us for 3 days, so it's better to know what you are up to rather than have to guess until you chime back in!!

Good luck and let us know how it went. It looks like it is pretty close to landfall right now as a Cat 3, so it is unlikely it will strengthen between now and landfall. Just hope it keeps moving so you don't get flooding rains.

My cousin and her family lives in Covington, but I don't think they were under an evac order.
